GSCP members: the Task Force |
|
|
|
The Task Force is the backbone of the programme. It is a wide, inclusive constituency of companies interested in discussing, understanding and sharing best practices. Its role is:
- to contribute to shaping and steering the programme
- to identify and share best practices in order to build the reference tools
- to have the opportunity to benchmark or otherwise review their system
- to openly discuss key short and long-term issues in remediation methods with other companies in order to map out the spectrum of existing priorities, define common guidelines based on best existing practices & strengthen or develop collaborative approaches and actions on the ground.
Joining the Task Force does not mean that you have to adopt a new system. Participation in the Task Force can be as active as a company wishes.
Task Force Members:
- are expected, at the very least, to attend the yearly General Meeting, share their best practices and actively participate (by electronic means) in the consultations on each step of the working plan (e.g. on the development of the reference tools)
- have the opportunity, if they wish to, to participate more actively and extensively by nominating themselves, or one of their company’s experts, to participate in one or more expert working groups
- have a voice in the strategic direction of the Programme, and can propose issue areas to potentially be tackled in the framework of the GSCP
- have access to member-only information resources and activities such as monthly webinars on projects / initiatives of interest, and can showcase projects they or their initiatives are leading to the rest of the Task Force through the GSCP
- are eligible to sit on the Executive Board
Membership is open to buying companies worldwide. Companies do not have to be The Consumer Goods Forum members to participate in this platform.
